HEESS hardening plants have become an worldwide established feature of the hardening technology used by the automotive, ball- and roller-bearing industry. Manual operated or complex automatic HEESS hardening plants are used to process a wide variety of different components.
As part of our comprehensive product range, the hardening machine SP 500 (single-press with a maximum workpiece diameter of 500 mm) is a manual operated single-station hardening machine. On special request equipped with an automatic  workpiece feed and outfeed system.
Typical components for quench press operations are: sliding sleeves, synchronizing rings, synchronizing cones, ring gears, bevel gears, clutch bodies, clutch springs, bearing rings, etc.
The SP 500 can be equipped with a die, consisting of an expanding mandrel and retainers. Special designs for special requirements are feasible. The use of existing dies is feasible in some cases, using an adaptor set.   The machine features an integrated Siemens S7 PLC. Workpiece-specific quench press parameters can be stored for up to 100 different parts.
A closed quenching oil circuit guarantees optimum oil guidance for a high standard of quality and reproduction accuracy.
